Mr. Jones is a 3rd generation Brooklynite and has been an educator for 10 years. Directly out of high school, Mr. Jones served in the United States Armed Forces, where he worked as an allergy and immunology technician in the Air Force. Afterwards, Mr. Jones returned to school earning a Bachelor of Science in computer information systems. He never embraced the field, setting his sights on performing instead, which has always been his first love. While pursuing a career in acting, Mr. Jones traveled to many different places exploring different world cultures, where his love for traveling was born. His travels took him to Swaziland, a tiny country in South Africa, where he visited a school. Here is where the spark for teaching was born. He entered the New York City Teaching Fellows program soon after and earned a masters in education while beginning his life as a classroom teacher. During his leisure, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling of course (still having one continent he has yet to visit), he loves to dance, ski, and horseback ride.
