Dear MS 442 families,

 

We made it through the first day of remote learning, pat yourselves on the back, you deserve it!

I am aware it was not a smooth start for a few families and it required some collaboration and problem solving. This was expected and we will get there, together. 

 

Please use the MS442 website for resources such as the Switchboard to find the schedule your child will follow until October 1. There also videos to help ensure your child is logged into their Zoom accounts with their DOE student email account. Many frustrations can be alleviated by visiting the website.

The best part of the day was seeing and interacting with your children. It brings us joy and happiness to see them whether they are in front of us or on a screen.

Getting Ready for Fall 2020

This is a checklist for families.

You probably have done one or more of these things already!

Set up your NYCDOE @nycstudents.net account for Zoom, and sign into the NYCDOE account on Zoom.​

Make sure you have opened up the Zoom app and signed into the NYCDOE account by clicking Sign In With SSO.

Get your 442 student information,

​including

Principal Mills asked 7th and 8th grade families on Wednesday to check if there has been a change in their pod assignment. Use the tool below.

If you need your 442 student info, or if you want to check your pod, click here.

Check your @ms442.org Gmail.

6th graders: You go to Gmail.com, write your full email address, something like student23@ms442.org, and enter your password.

If you don't know how to check your email, click here.

Take a look at the Switchboard.

Find your pod, click the button for your schedule, and preview your schedule for Monday.
