MS 442 High School Results 2017-2018

InsideSchools - Third Party Reviews of all DOE Schools

Understanding Ed. Opt. Admissions - Ed. Opt. schools look at your student’s 7th grade ELA state test scores and admit 16% high scorers, 68% middle scorers and 16% low scorers. You can find your student’s Ed. Opt. ranking on their profile on MySchools. Ed. Opt schools take 50% of their students from random selection and 50% they choose based on their own criteria. For Example, at Murrow: 8% high scorers, 34% mid, 8% low are chosen by based on their criteria here, and 8% high scorers, 34% mid, 8% low are random choices from the DOE. It's worth it to ask at open houses and tours what schools use for criteria when they select their 50%.

Please Note: This is parent-run and there is no guarantee we will be able to announce every tour at the exact moment it gets posted or information for every school. But we hope that by using this platform, we have a way for MS 442 families to be better informed. We will work with the Parent Coordinator and the HS Counselors, to get as much information out to you as we possibly can. If you get information on the high school process you would like to share, please contact us at pta@ms442.org.
