The Latest Updates
April 17, 2020 – Please read the update below from your family at MS 442.
Next week
We hope that all our students and their families are doing well. Next week, we will return to the regular schedule of academic interactions. On Monday, April 20, please use the Remote Learning Dashboard (linked above) for access to your school schedule (like we did for 3 weeks). If your teacher is holding live classroom sessions, you will see a link to a Google Meet video conference. There is no app that you need to download if you are using a desktop or laptop computer. However, you may decide to access the video conference using a smartphone or tablet, and you need an app for those devices. Search for "Google Meet" in your app store.
Thank you
Thank you to all our students who participated in the enrichment activities this week. We also appreciate the contributions made to our virtual spirit days (accessible on FlipGrid, via the link sent to your emails)!
Special education
The Chancellor's Office has posted a letter explaining special education supports and services (dated April 15, 2020) to the NYC DOE website. See the link above for access to this letter. It is the first bullet point under Additional Resources. If you have concerns related to special education supports and services, please contact your IEP case manager or the parent coordinator.
Teamwork
Last, we want to thank all our kids and their parents for their continued support and engagement during this time. Our school community has many gifts to offer!
